November 2022: As part of his graduate work, colleague Domagoj Šebalj, a member of the GPML Laboratory, developed a neural language model for the Croatian language based on the GPT-2 model and tested it on the tasks of machine translation from Croatian to English and sentiment analysis. September 2022: Doc.dr.sc. Robert Kudelić pulished the monograph "Feedback Arc Set: A History of the Problem and Algorithms" (Springer). Link

February 2021: Prof.dr.sc. Jasminka Dobša became head of the Laboratory.

October 2020: Doc.dr.sc. Robert Kudelić joined has joined our laboratory.

March 2019: Prof. Jasminka Dobša participated on the round table about using of AI in searhing legal and official documents of the Republic of Croatia. Link (in Croatian)

May 2018: The project of short-term financial support entitled "Application of techniques of automatic programming and data mining in the development of on-line dictionaries" (the same name as the previous one) was approved at the University of Zagreb.

November 2017: The second bilateral visit for Croatian-Slovenian bilateral project “Representation of big data” took place 2nd to 5th of November 2016. From Slovenian project team prof. Dunja Mladenić and dr. Mario Karlovčec from J. Stefan Institute (JSI) visited Faculty of Organization and Informatics.

July 2017: The project of short-term financial support entitled "Application of techniques of automatic programming and data mining in the development of on-line dictionaries" was approved at the University of Zagreb. The project is evaluated with 88 points (out of 100). 

June 2016: The first bilateral visit for Croatian-Slovenian bilateral project “Representation of big data” took place in Ljubljana in period from 13th to 17th of June 2016. From Croatian side of the project prof. Jasminka Dobša, prof. Danijel Radošević and prof. Ivan Magdalenić from the GPML laboratory were present.

April 2016: The new laboratory web site was established!
